Reporting to Parents
Parents are always very welcome to visit the school at any time (preferably by appointment) to discuss any matter relating to their child.
In addition to this we hold home/school review meetings early in the Autumn Term where the class teacher and parents/guardians can share relevant information. In particular, teachers benefit from hearing how parents/guardians feel their child has settled into their new class. This strengthens the partnership between home and school which is so important for every child. A further meeting takes place in the Spring Term, again to share information and focus on the child’s learning and progress. Towards the end of the Summer Term parents and guardians are invited to visit the classroom and their child’s new teacher.
Written reports are sent to parents towards the end of each academic year and parents are welcome to meet and discuss the report with the class teacher should they so wish.
Further opportunities are also made available for parents/guardians to share in Open Learning Sessions in the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes throughout the year. This information is sent out in the regular newsletters.
Minpins Early Years hold regular open weeks where parents/guardians are welcome to learn and play with their children.
